The One Book Meme
Tagged by Ben, min vän. He made a vast and very, very, very thorough investigation before answering the meme — you need to read the entire post to fully understand what I mean, it’s hilarious.
Well, here we go:
1. One book that changed your life: The trilogy starting with Out of the Silent Planet gave me a much-needed change of perspective. By C. S. Lewis, of course.
2. One book that you have read more than once: Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.
3. One book you’d want on a desert island: Since my husband brings our copy of Jungle Travel and Survival by John Walden I would bring The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S.Lewis. It would be conforting to read it in the evenings, after a hard day’s work of making fire and cracking coconuts.
4. One book that made you laugh: White teeth by Zadie Smith
5. One book that made you cry: The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood by Rebecca Wells. I’m kind of embarrassed, but I do recommend the book… to women, I guess. (And hey: they left my favorite parts out when they made the movie.)
6. One book that you wish had been written: My husband’s book. I know I’m going to love it.
7. One book that you wish had never been written: Some books are annoying. I like all the other stuff this author does, including her naïve paintings. The novel Kreisland is too disgusting, though. (It begins with a mother giving birth and eating the placenta … I’m just proving my point here
)
8. One book that you’re currently reading: Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts. 800 pages to go!
9. One book you’ve been meaning to read: Catcher in the Rye by J.D.Salinger. Can’t believe I still haven’t read it.
10. Now tag five people. … well, Mathias needs to be tagged, being literature student and all, before anyone else does. And his hugely entertaining wife Carina. And please, Ann-Lois, Mia, Maria, and other ‘non-bloggers’, please do post your lists here, I would love to have them.

Wow!
Tack, Saara. Trevligt, jag tänkte precis att jag vill skriva nåt på bloggen idag. Nu vet jag vad =)
